Prepare Yourself for Labor Daze

Prepare Yourself for Labor Daze

With the actual holiday of Labor Day on the brink, it should come to your attention that you will likely be invited to a party. Perhaps it will be a picnic or barbecue or even themed event like, dress up as your favorite 80s icon. That’s always an interesting undertaking.

Fast forward to your mind and body, and the last thing you want to do is get wedged behind the eight-ball. Taking HGH before and after your outing is a safe way to at least keep yourself on track.

But what happens when the temptations start to creep in? You know what they are… adult beverages, sweet treats, cheeseburgers on the grill, dips with heavy sauces and cheese, and let’s not forget about the huge bowls of chips, pretzels, tortilla chips and candy.

Being exposed to all of this fare can quickly put you in a daze and spin you out of control. Well, in the big picture, Labor Day is only one day. If you blow your diet in one sitting, it’s not the end of the world. You can rebound in a matter of days. But the trick is, you have to prep for this occasion, much like you would in a race.

That may sound crazy, but it’s not. Just think about it. In order to run a long race, you have to build up your stamina, muscle endurance, core strength and so on. The same holds true with a forthcoming event that you are invited to where you KNOW there will be derailing options available to eat and drink.

The best thing you can do is literally train your ass off beforehand so the damage you do is less severe. Plus, if you go into the party or excursion in great shape, then it will be a lot easier to get right back on the wagon in the days after it’s over.

This is an often overlooked or completely ignored strategy, yet highly effective. If you do not know where to start, here are some tips to follow to get yourself rock solid before your event. And you can use this as a guide for any holiday gathering, wedding, fantasy football draft party, bar mitzvah or anniversary that you might be invited to.

Go Compound With Your Workouts

Have you ever been called a sissy? I’d like to see you call Dwayne, “The Rock” Johnson a sissy. Chances are he’d body slam your candy ass through the closest table! And that’s not only because he likely does Norditroprin, Omnitrope or one of many brands of HGH, but it’s mainly because he performs a lot of compound exercises in the gym.

These involve multiple joints and muscle groups being worked at the same. The end result is larger muscles and bigger gains in size and strength. To make sure you’re ready for the nachos platter with jalapeno dip, base your workouts off of exercises like bench presses, deadlifts, clean and presses, squats, lunges and weighted pullups.

Get out the Kettlebells

Compound exercises are one thing. But complexes are something else. They involve pairing two or more drills together in a seamless fashion to work multiple muscle groups AND get a high caloric expenditure.

Here’s a good analogy for you. When you go to a party, you will fill your plate with multiple things like potato salad, baked beans, barbecued chicken legs and coleslaw. That’s a pretty hefty plate of food right there. You basically made it complex by having so many items.

Now shift your focus back to kettlebells. You can snag one or two bells and do a complex that consists of swings, cleans, presses and squats. You just worked every muscle group in your body.

Add some complexes to your routines and your food complexes will be less debilitating.

Don’t Chintz on the Cardio

There are some who hate it, there are some who love it and there are some who claim that it “makes you fat.” First of all, the last group mentioned are Jabrones and they obviously don’t know what they’re talking about.

For all the rest of you who are going to be subjected to a big feast, pay attention. Cardio is a great form of exercise to boost cardiovascular health, burn calories and improve your mood. When it comes to your party, it is smart to do cardio leading up to it because it can dampen the blow to your heart, stomach and extremities for that matter.

In other words, it’s a good defense mechanism against gaining excess pounds and putting your heart through undue strain. Since cardio makes your heart stronger, it makes sense that you would want a strong heart when eating a gelatinous plate of food. Or several gelatinous plates of food even. And the only way to do that is by training it to be strong. This is a far better strategy then just going into an eating extravaganza with a weak heart and lungs.

Boost Your gut Health

Nothing says “big mistake” better than trying to eat a ton of food at a party with bad digestion. Not only can you end up with gas, bloating, cramps and multiple trips to the bathroom, but you can also suffer from massive acid reflux. Nothing is more uncomfortable than when acid backs up into your throat.

Lay a good foundation well before an event by stocking up on pre and probiotic foods and beverages. Consume things like asparagus, onions, garlic, bananas, oat bran, artichokes, kombucha, sauerkraut, kimchi and tempeh.

This type of fare will build up the good bacteria in your stomach and enable you to digest heavier foods easier.

The Last Supper

Overall, you can always take the healthy route at a party and bring clean food with you. But that could be stressful because you’ll feel like you’re missing out. There’s nothing wrong with having a splurge from time to time. As long as you are willing to do preliminary things before it comes, you will have nothing to worry about.
